Much better news than I thought. I am so glad I went to a different orthopedist. as for hip replacement, he said the compressed vertebra is causing the the top part of my hips pain. He did say the left one may come to a replacement but it is not bone to bone like my knee. They shot my knee with steroid, and it hurt but they had a deadening affect to it so it is feeling pretty good. Be sore tomorrow but hopefully the steroid will work around and make me more comfortable by Thursday. Then he handed me a book on knee replacement. He did say if I lost the effect of the soreness going away, make an appointment and they would have to do a knee replacement. He is hoping I will get 6 months out of the shot but he will not say if it will. That other Dr. was going to do expensive surgery, and replace a hip that is better than the other one. I consider that a money grabbing doctor. I really like this doctor except for one thing, he is bohemian, so Joe and him really hit it off. Jack, do not say what I think you will say about 2 bohunks. Ask Paula, it is true they are stubborn and hard headed. One of the guys that is interning said the doctor was very stubborn. Spunky was very good, but we gave him a doggie separation anxiety pill before we left. We had to wait and wait between the intern and the doctor. Spunky really howled at Joe. He was really giving him” what for”.

Okay, but what else could you expect from Joe's cousin, good stuff. No telling the trouble you would be in if Joe hadn't explained that you are not responsible for the nasty things you say about Bohemiens. Shoot, he would have put the knee in backwards when it came to it. So I am not sending him the blog entries Icopied of your nasty remarks about Bohemiens. LOL

ReplyDeleteIf the shot gives you some relief in that knee, YIPPEE! Otherwise, REPLACE it. I can't believe that other doc was going to replace your hip when it didn't NEED to be. I am definitely getting a second opinion about mine now. Glad the news was good. Take care. I'm praying that shot holds.
