Well I have a twist as to who will do my surgery. It will probably be next week with Dr. Ripa. My doctor that was going to do it thought I had Medicare and a supplement. I don’t. My blue cross BluePPO takes care of everything that I don’t have to pay. So 3 women in the front office said I could use my card but I would have to pay more because Reckmeyer was not in the network. Even after I told him that the girls said he was out of my network he said he thought he was still in network but his condition was that I have medicare and a supplement which I could not get because no one wanted me with A-Fib. My plan took me even though I had A-fib which has been controlled for a quite a while. I was going to go with it until I talked to the blue PPO insurance. They said to try a different orthopedic Dr. because there are plenty that will take the card with in the network. So I called this office that has 13 orthopedist’s and they all will take my card and are in network. It still won’t be cheap but at least I will get the full benefit from the card, so my records are being transferred out of Reckmyers to this other Dr. Just call this a second opinion. As soon as they get my release of my records. So as I stand now it is waiting, but getting close.Enough about Dr’s. It is cold and forecast snow but just not much of it. I hope they are right. I have a niece that was raised in Ca. and married a guy that lives in Alaska. They live in Juneau which was a quite a distance from that area that was buried in snow. Cordova or something like that.. I thought Ne. was bad. Hey, Sheila, go to Alaska!!! I just thought that would be a good place to go. I want to thank everyone for your good wishes and I will carry them with me to my new Dr., in my mind.
Sounds like everything is coming together so you can have your surgery. You'll feel better when this is all behind you, Lucy. I don't envy the folks up in Alaska. They've had TOO much winter. We're expecting 2-3 inches of snow today and MORE tommorrow. Stay warm. Hope you don't get too much. Take care.
ReplyDeleteGood morning, Lucy. I was going to say, you have so many that are wishing you to be able to move around and walk again. So, yes! You will have that to carry with you. All of that love and your own determation equals success!
ReplyDeleteWe are in the 50's for highs and rain. Me no like...lol.
