I went in to see Dr. Gobbo and today I have a sore throat

I have an appointment with the orthopedist Mon. the 16 on Joes Birthday.  He will take me because my appointment is 3:30 and if he does not see me till 4 or 5 it will be getting dark and    since cataract surgery I not drive when the lights have to be on. I had to sign that I knew my pain pill was a narcotic and that I would use it sparingly.  He said the FDA is cracking down on narcotics because a lot of people  over dose and die.  I went to the pharmacy to leave 2 of the prescriptions he wrote out for me.  There were 4 people ahead of me. I said to Roxanne  that I would pick them up today and she said she would just have their delivery man drop them off.  I saw such a tall man in a little red car.  I had to laugh.  He said he had the flu several times delivering to sick people all the time.  He said “if I get the flu one more time I am going to ask for workmen’s Comp”.  I had to laugh.  Didn’t know I was coming down with  a cold at the time. I do know that when Gobbo took my leg with the knee and had me bend my knee and took my leg and folded it  over the other leg and I nearly came off the table, bur the weird part of it was it only hurt my hip and the knee just  hurt a little.  Oh well I will probably find out something Monday.  I will stay on my feet until I drop. Well as the weatherman said the winds are coming up, and the cold weather is even going to get colder.   I will be glad to see Spring get here.  But this weather is so screwed up, it will probably snow.  I wore my new outfit Connie got me for Christmas.  It is rally pretty.  She took the tall  pants back and got me average and they are still plenty long. One  problem the top  has little tiny buttons.    My fingers have arthritis to.  I got all but 3 and left them unbuttoned.  Worked out good. I forgot to tell you DD and Paula, I decided until this stuff with my knee is decided I closed down my other blog.  May go  back one day, but not now.

  1. I hope your visit helps you next week. People who have their joints replaced always say the rehab is hard but the results are well worth it. Most wished they had done is earlier.

chuck had wrist surgery and just now feeling better, his doc said it may take a few more months to feel really great. Orthopedic surgery is a long rehab, no feel better in a week or two for that rehab.

  3. Bet you look cute in your new outfit. When you get all your ailments fixed Joe has to take you out and not to a doctor.

    1. I did feel pretty spify with a new outfit. I would have never paid that much because we have to watch our pennies so close. I am about 62.00 away from meeting my prescription deductible. First time I have ever had a deductible on scripts.

  4. I have a good feeling about your surgery. It will be great to "see" you walking all over Shopko without help of a cart to lean on.

I bet you looked spiffy in your new outfit!

I see your 38 degrees...we are around mid 50's. I dislike Old Man Winter. Sorry, shouldn't complain. Oh, and here, the thunder is rumbling in the background, coming closer...gloomy too.

    1. We have 13 here with fairly high winds. Supposed to get up to 23. I think Joe is hoping the orthopedist will say I shouldn't have it. He keeps saying what if it makes you worse. I said then that I was so limited on what I can do already that either way it won't make much difference. How about these little boxes that appeared over night.

  5. Hope all goes well at your appointment. It's not too much longer till spring is here. We aren't having much of a winter here in So. California. It's been in the 80's recently but there's supposed to be a little cold front coming through with highs only in the 60's lol!

Don't ya just love getting to wear a new outfit? It just seems to make the day better!:D

  6. Thank you Lisa. It is 23 this morning and windy so it feels really cold. We have an old house but it is home. How is that little baby girl doing? Is she responding to therapy? Such a tragedy. How is your dad doing? It is nice to have a new outfit. Not to many that I buy but my daughter in law, Kathy, and Connie my daughter was a surprise. She usually gives me a gift certificate.
