I am sick of this weather, Will complain when it is hot so that just makes me a complainer

It was colder than Billy hell last night.  Our Furnace runs a lot when it is so ungodly cold.  It is 8 below now and the high is supposed to be a balmy 13.  We were supposed to have very low wind chill but I didn’t look any farther.I think I mentioned that Neil came over and scooped us out yesterday.  Neil said yesterday he was going to thing on some type of fencing that would catch some of the snow where it drifts so bad by the front of the house in the back yard.  He said fencing but I am thinking, he surely is not thinking of the old fashioned snow fencing.  Neither Joe or I said a word.  We are lucky to have good grandsons that help us and this summer  they are going to mow our yard if there is anything to mow.  Joe said if the front is dead it can stay dead but I don’t think I can handle that.  Will have to have the kids spray paint it green or scratch the surface and throw some grass seed on it. That is what happens when I can’t get out and work in the yard.  I hope we miss the snow that was supposed to come in this week end. Neil had his little terrier with him.  He brought him up and put him in our backyard for about 5 minutes to let him do his duty. When he came in I asked him if he took his dog very often and he said , “well, she kept looking at me and staring at me when she knew I was leaving”.  I had to think how grateful I am that he has a heart of gold.  He and his brother are so different.  Nathan is more stand offish and some what opinionated.  Hope I hear from the cardiologist by the weekend..  I haven’t pushed it because of the snow.

I had to get up early this morning I knew the guy would be here to pick up the lawn mower to fix it. I was right, he came early. It's nice to have grandsons to help you out. We never have had to ask for or hire help before, but now it's getting to be a different thing. We don't have any that lives close enough that will help. I don't think we could take that kind of cold weather it's in the 30's here this morning and we're freezing. Lol. Take care. Jean

It is nice to have grandsons that can and will help.
I don't see why you are complaining. You could unplug your refer and put it outside and save elec. (I actually knew a man who done that!).

Hopefully when you hear from the Dr. it will be good news. (AND THE WEATHERMAN!)

I agree with you about the weather. One of those 85 degree days are looking pretty good right now. We got a lot of heavy wet snow with frozen rain on top of it. It took a long time to shovel it on the driveway.

A nice grandson you have. Lucky they live close enough to do that for you.

You are so lucky to have someone care about you and do the shoveling for you. That is so sweet. I'm stuck doing it myself and with bad knees it's a chore.

I remember snow fences from when I was a kid. I'm sure some still use them but I can't think when I last saw one. Hope you get some sun and heat soon, Lucy. Looks like we missed having a January thaw ~
